Mary Beth

Hi!  I’m Mary Beth Bartlett!  I am a mother to two funny and energetic little boys and have been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2014.  Through my years of experience working with patients, one common thread that each patient has shared is the need for healthy lifestyle habits in order for them to be well, both physically and mentally.  Our home environments, when out of control, can make it difficult for us to achieve the goals we have for living well.  Wouldn’t it be easier to get excited about healthy meals with an organized and well-planned kitchen?  Or to get quality sleep in a bedroom without clothes spilling out of drawers?  I am passionate about helping others make changes at home to help them live joyful and healthy lives.

I have found in my own home and family that clearing the clutter and having organized systems in place are essential steps towards living life more in balance.  My family has found that having fewer possessions has allowed us space for more of the things that are important to us.  With less time spent dealing with the chaos inside our home, we are able to spend more time playing, exercising, exploring the outdoors, and just enjoying more of the sweet slowness of childhood together.

Megan

Hi! Megan McDowell here! I got my masters degree from Auburn University in 2009 (War Eagle!) and began working as a medical Speech Language Pathologist. For over a decade I worked with adults with neurological disorders that affected their cognitive skills, executive function, language, and swallowing.

After having my first child and beginning the complex juggling act that is being a full time working mom I also began experiencing anxiety for the first time in my life. I had 200 things on my to-do list at all times. When I did have free time in my day it was difficult to look past the explosion of toys, dishes, laundry, and knicknacks strewn around our home to actually relax. It felt like there was always something I needed to be cleaning, picking up, or putting away. Once I acknowledged that a peaceful, organized home was critical for my mental health, we began slowly decluttering and minimizing our possessions. Reducing the clutter in our home snowballed into simplified schedules, more mindful spending, and more intentional downtime for our family. There is so much joy in less!  Developing organizational systems that are individualized, practical, and aesthetically pleasing has allowed me to be more present with the people I love. I no longer have to shove laundry hampers of junk behind the shower curtain in a panic when I want to invite a neighbor to pop in for a coffee or I am asked to host our supper club at the last minute. I get to spend my precious, and limited (because #boymomlife) mental energy on the things that matter most to me - connection with my people and my community.

We want to help busy moms like you declutter, simplify, organize, and enjoy your home. In the whirlwind of motherhood, we want to give you the most precious gift of all: time.
